Before Heather joined Alive’s staff in June 2010, she lived in a land full of Abraham Lincoln historic sites, gang violence and cornfields (also known as central Illinois). She knew Columbus would be an improvement, but years later she’s still consistently amazed by this city, its residents’ commitment to the arts and its cart that serves deliciously gooey steamed bagels.
