Aguilar an option at 3B, etc.

Jesus Aguilar was back at first base in pre-game infield drills today. He spent yesterday working at third base.

"He's going to see a select number of games at third base this season," Clippers manager Chris Tremie said.

He played third in a game at Louisville on April 12 and had one ball hit his way.

"He's going to play there again in two or three days," Tremie said. "It's just so he can get some experience at third base in case that develops into an option for him at some point."

The parent Cleveland Indians moved catcher Carlos Santana to third base this season. Former top prospect Lonnie Chisenhall is sharing the postion, but has yet to seize it. At 6-foot-3, 250 pounds, Aguilar looks like the prototypical first baseman.

"He's pretty agile," Tremie said. "And he's done a good job fielding ground balls in pre-game drills so far. So, we'll see."

Aguilar is playing first base in the homestand and series finale against the Gwinnett Braves at 7:15 tonight in Huntington Park.

Veteran first baseman/outfielder Bryan LaHair was transferred to the double-A Akron roster today.
