Let's see, what's good in local music this weekend?

Tonight I'd go to Cafe Bourbon Street, 2216 Summit St., to see the Birthday Suits from Minneapolis. Night of Pleasure and Necropolis are playing too, so it should be a suitably rowdy time.

Also of note tonight is the return of Sound of Urchin at Ravari Room, 2657 N. High St. Joining them will be the searing rock sounds of the Rackets and the Brown Notes.

And if you hurry, you can make it to Terribly Empty Pockets, the Black Canary and Tree of Fern at Wholly Craft, 3171 N. High St. That shindig starts at 8 p.m.

Tomorrow's big event should be similarly chaotic. Carabar, 115 Parsons Ave., is hosting Chris Lutzko's birthday party, featuring his Unholy 2, Cheater Slicks and the minimalist grooves of Deathly Fighter.

Sunday night is surprisingly fertile. Mirah and Laura Veirs at the Wexner Center, 1871 N. High St., should make for a delightful evening.

Down the street at High Five, 1227 N. High St., bands from across Ohio add up to a solid cap to the weekend as well: Captain of Industry, Southeast Engine, Melty Melty and Take No Damage.
