I wrote in the most recent paper about The Flukes, a Medina quartet that is wrapping up its final tour with an album release show tonight at Carabar, 115 Parsons Ave. The Rackets, You're So Bossy and Nick Tolfordógood'uns, all of 'emówill also play, with the first act starting around 10. All who attend tonight's free show get a free limited edition copy of the new Nocturnal Emissions, a release with appeal for any fan of scrappy '90s lo-fi pop. Check my preview for more.
On TV you've got the People's Choice Awards (9 p.m., CBS), the premiere of a Jackass-style show called Guinea Pig (9 p.m., Sci-Fi), the debut of a Cops knockoff called Street Patrol (8 p.m., MyNetworkTV) and the two-hour season premiere of teen soap One Tree Hill (8 p.m., The CW), which jumps its timeline ahead four years to skip over the college years. Also, House (9 p.m., FOX) is re-running its 2004 pilot.
