The most impressive event in town this evening is the sold-out Funny or Die College Comedy Tour, which brings Will Ferrell, Zach Galifianakis, Nick Swardson and Demetri Martin to Value City Arena. Looks like the only way to go will be to show up early and shell out big. (Actually, when scalping, it's best to wait until the last minute to buy because scalpers will be desperate to unload their wares. But if you want to make sure you get in, it seems reasonable to get there when more tickets will be in circulation.) Tickets were $37.50, so expect to pay more than that. The show begins at 8 p.m.

If you would rather laugh at your TV tonight, The CW is airing the first half of a two-part look back on nine seasons of America's Next Top Model at 8 p.m. New episodes of Reno 911! (10:30 p.m., Comedy Central) and Project Runway (10 p.m., Bravo) are on the air too. And of course American Idol (8 p.m., FOX) is on.

In more sober fare, African American Lives 2 (9 p.m., PBS) traces the ancestry of black celebrities whose family trees are fuzzy due to slavery. The show focuses on the likes of Chris Rock and Morgan Freeman, surprising them with tales of their long-lost relatives. Sounds like the most edifying thing on TV tonight.
