Vampire Weekend, the most overexposed band of the year so far, arrives in Columbus tonight for a Valentine's Day gig at the Wexner Center's Black Box. The unabashedly preppy New York quartet has been acclaimed and derided for incorporating Caribbean and Afro-pop polyrythms into lightweight pop-rock tunes about life as a child of privilege. See for yourself after opener Sam Rosen plies his trade. For more on this 9 p.m. show, check out my preview, then turn up early or call the Wexner ticket office; despite the sold-out status, they hint that "A few tickets may be released prior to showtime." Assuming more go on sale, they cost $10.

If you're more into jam-band stuff, Dark Star Orchestra plays Newport Music Hall, 1722 N. High St., tonight. 8 p.m. doors, $25 tickets.

And of course you should tune in or set your DVRs for another installment of Lost at 9 p.m. on ABC.
