Hey guys, sorry about those last 10 years...

Sorry for disappearing without notice last week; I accumulated enough hours earlier this week to take Friday off in good conscience. Now I'm back at it. First order of business is these links:

Pitchfork has an interview with Michael Stipe about the new R.E.M. album, Accelerate. Billboard talked to him too.

If anyone is wondering why I loved Bon Iver so much at SXSW, check out these videos from one of his other Austin performances. "The Wolves" in particular is magical.

In a story sad enough to make you wonder why someone would subject their kids to child stardom, The New York Post chronicled the sad state of the Jackson family.

Scott Weiland is much more stoked about the STP reunion than playing with his allegedly disloyal Velvet Revolver bandmates, so much so that he is breaking up Revolver after their current tour.

The dude from The Verve Pipe has started literally touring from door to door. Perversely, I have a feeling he makes a lot more per performance than your average DIY touring act.

EW has a 26-show spring TV preview. It's really in-depth and worth reading.

AV Club counts down "17 amusingly misguided eco-friendly entertainments," Captain Planet and Ferngully among them.

Slate wonders why the phone book won't die.

Here's the trailer for Chapter 27, that movie in which a fattened-up Jared Leto plays John Lennon assassin Mark David Chapman (with support from successful Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan). Seeing normally slender Leto's fat face in the poster is kind of unsettling...

I know some of you watch Gossip Girl, so I'm going to post this TV Guide interview as a public service.

CBS has canceled Jericho for a second time. It's over.

Everyone's favorite stranded fugitive Evangeline Lilly is endorsing perfume.

Miley Cyrus officially has been immortalized as a wax figure at Madame Tussaud's.

Could Ticketmaster be crumbling? I'm all for it.

Charlie Daniels: SELLOUT?!?

You can literally call the Black Lips whenever you want on their new hotline.

Wired has an interview with the guy who wrote six-word reviews of all 763 free MP3s offered by SXSW.

Poor Corinne Bailey Rae! Her husband was found dead.

Lastly, this clip will turn your understanding of Flight of the Conchords upside down...
