If you scored the free but elusive tickets, you're probably planning to check out Black Rebel Motorcycle Club with The Duke Spirit at Skully's, 1151 N. High St. But those who couldn't obtain BRMC tickets—and those who didn't want to—have another solid rock option tonight.

Based on its Ra Ra Riot sounds like a straight-up "blog band." And to be fair, the Syracuse-based indie pop band has plenty of blogger fans. The high-energy, string-infused pop-rock is not all that groundbreaking, and it may be too cute for some listeners (probably those of you are heading to the BRMC show anyway). But to my melody-thirsty palette, it hits the spot. Joining Ra Ra will be The Little Ones, a proficient pop combo from LA, and So Many Dynamos, a solid St. Louis band that has been kicking around the indie touring circuit for a minute without quite breaking through. All this goes down at The Basement, 391 Neil Ave., and costs $10. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.

As for TV, Reaper (9 p.m., The CW) is on, and SVU (10 p.m., NBC) has a guest spot from Robin Williams. Oh, and the premature season finale of The Riches (10 p.m., FX) may end up being the series finale if FX doesn't renew this smart but underperforming show.
