I recently completed the unenviable task of compiling this city's top 100 albums of the past three decades. Today we unveiled the full list.
There's no way to properly whittle down all of Columbus' great albums to a mere 100, but we helped ourselves by limiting the list to one release per act. We also left out singles and compilations. And, of course, the list only goes back to 1978, so legends like Rahsaan Roland Kirk and Phil Ochs don't fall within its scope.
Even with all those restrictions, narrowing this down to 100 was a tough process. That said, I want your reactions. Where did we go wrong? What did we get right? And most importantly, who are we missing?
