The best live show of the night seems to be the debut performance by a new local punk supergroup featuring members of The Feelers, The Rackets and Dolby F---ers. (Editing that name never gets old.) This burly trio is called Fighting Weight. Though they all work at Cafe Bourbon Street, that bar still seems to be in a state of flux, so tonight's show has been moved to Ravari Room, 2657 N. High St. Joining the fighters will be Oakland's The Pets and the exquisite Miracle Mike. 10 p.m. showtime, $5(?) cover.
On the tube, the new Liz Phair-scored drama about swapping sexual partners in the 1970s, Swingtown (10 p.m. CBS), premieres. (So is it "racy" or "tame"?) Also debuting is new horror anthology Fear Itself (10 p.m., NBC). And the Lakers-Celtics NBA Finals tip off with a Jimmy Kimmel-hosted special at 8 p.m. on ABC.
