Miranda Sound is playing its last Columbus show one month from today. In the meantime the indie pop chargers have added a last-minute gig to help out an old friend tonight at Rumba Cafe, 2507 Summit St. The band is doing a happy hour set along with Anthony Loffredio of Providence's Barn Burning. This show will be free and prompt—Loffredio at 7 p.m., Miranda Sound at 8 p.m., music done by 9 p.m.
That leaves you plenty of time to watch some of tonight's new TV shows when you get home. (Thanks to EW for the 411 on these.) Topping the docket is the disgusting Hurl! (9 p.m., G4), which dares contestants to eat the most and vomit the least. Perhaps you ought to pass on that one and try From G's to Gents (10 p.m., MTV), in which Jamie Foxx and hip-hop gentleman Fonzworth Bentley makeover 14 gangstas into respectable young chaps.
Also premiering are The Cleaner (10 p.m., A&E), in which Benjamin Bratt plays a former addict who forces other junkies to get clean, and Say Yes to the Dress (8 p.m., TLC), a behind-the-scenes look at "the world's premiere bridal salon." And then there's baseball's All Star Game (8 p.m., FOX).
