I have been pimping the Columbus Crew quite a bit lately, and for good reason: They are in first place, riding a five-game unbeaten streak and playing the most attractive soccer in the U.S.A. They play a rare Thursday night match tonight against Eastern Conference foes the New York Red Bulls. It's a perfect day for soccer, and what's more, tonight is buck-a-brat night, so bring a pocket full of Washingtons and buy yourself some delicious Bob Evans bratwursts. Game time is 7 p.m., and if you want to be a real lame-o you can stay home and watch it on ESPN2.

Two more solid entertainment options are available in the hours after the game, should you choose not to drink the rest of your night away with the Hudson Street Hooligans at Ruby Tuesday, 1978 Summit St. One is on your television, as It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia (10 p.m., FX) premieres for a fourth season of despicable people doing hilarious things.

You could probably even watch the full hour of Sunny before the night's best rock show kicks off at Cafe Bourbon Street, 2216 Summit St. Well, that's assuming the bar gets its power back. (Apologies to anybody who tried to check out Static Static the other night on my recommendation.) Supposing the show goes on, it will feature underground garage rock hero Dan Melchior and the one and only El Jesus de Magico, thee most killer double bill I have seen in a while. 10 p.m. start time, though like I said with only two bands it will probably kick off later. (Again, assuming AEP gets its act together.) EDIT: This show has been moved to Carabar, 115 Parsons Ave.
