Tonight's big show comes courtesy of My Morning Jacket, the Bonnaroo staple that won over lots of fans with its reverb-drenched, indie rock-flavored take on Southern rock and confounded many of them with the curveball that was this year's Evil Urges. John Ross liked it, though. Anyhow, doors open at 7 p.m., tickets cost $32 and there's no opening act. (It's "An evening with My Morning Jacket.") Get ready to stand amongst a fascinating blend of aging, professorial NPR listeners, jam-band-crazy hippies and young hipster types at LC Pavilion, 405 Neil Ave.
As for TV, we're into the part of the season where there are fewer high-profile premieres and more stuff like Bingo America (6:30 p.m., GSN), My Big Amazing Renovation (9 p.m., HGTV) and Magic's Biggest Secrets Finally Revealed (9 p.m., MyNetworkTV). No, really, these are real shows.
At least we've got fun, popcorn-quality stuff like How I Met Your Mother (8:30 p.m., CBS) and Chuck (8 p.m., NBC) going strong, shows that allow you to jump in pretty much any time and enjoy. Also, VH1's 5th Annual Hip-Hop Honors airs tonight at 10.
