The best show of the night is not at Cafe Bourbon Street this time it's at Skully's, 1151 N. High St. Melody is the order of the day as Karate Coyote and Paper Airplane team up for some precious pop goodness. The black-belted ones are celebrating the release of their debut EP, Move, which I assessed in the most recent issue. Paper Airplane, meanwhile, is nearing completion of its next LP, White Elephants, so if you haven't seen them for a while (like me), they undoubtedly have new songs in store. There's also a band called Calendar For Preston on the bill, but I don't know them, and their MySpace isn't playing their tunes right now. (Fix it!) This 'un is a 10 p.m. start, but I can't find any info about price. (Seems like these Wednesday shows have been free lately, but it could cost $5.)
