Tonight P.O.S., a Minneapolis art-rapper signed to his hometown's indie rap hub Rhymesayers, will rock Skully's, 1151 N. High St., in support of his new LP, Never Better. With tracks like the sonic terrorizer "Drumroll" (embedded above), the emcee is likely to appeal to punk and noise fans (or at least people who liked Saul Williams' Niggy Tardust) as much as hip-hop heads. And "Goodbye" opines, "From coast to coast/ We all toast the same PBR." So, yeah: Hipsters, he's after you! Also, is he calling out Lil Wayne when he raps, "Step up your thought game, Wayne"? Bold! 10 p.m. show, not sure on the cover but I'll look into it.
