Phosphorescent is in town, so it's hard to believe there would be any better live music option tonight. Matthew Houck's neon-flickering folk supposedly undergoes a transformation into something more rambunctious in concert. I'm curious to see what that means for Houck's original tunes as well as the songs from his new Willie Nelson covers LP, To Willie. My preview touched on the record a bit, but John Ross, our resident Nelson expert, explored it more fully in his blog last week. Besides Phosphorescent, patrons at The Summit, 2210 Summit St., will be treated to the sounds of underground guitar master Mike Bones and splendorous locals Wing & Tusk. This 8 p.m. affair costs $10 at the door.
