I saw Morrissey at the Palace Theatre two years ago, and I was surprised at what a wonderful experience it was, even for someone like me who digs The Smiths but hasn't dug into into the Moz solo catalog. There were a few Smiths selections mixed in there, but mostly the solo stuff dominated the set and proved to hold up admirably alongside the '80s classics. Tonight he's back at the Palace, 34 W. Broad St., in support of his acclaimed new Years of Refusal. If you can afford to drop $37-57 on tickets, you won't regret checking this out. The Courteeners, a fellow bunch of Mancunians, start the show at 7:30 p.m.
But make sure you see Lost, even if you don't watch it live, because I'm highly intrigued by tonight's episode title, "Whatever Happened, Happened." That's 9 p.m. on ABC.
