The new Junior Boys album came to me labeled: Max Tundra (Parallax Error Beheads You). That was weird, I thought, because what was on the disc wasn't spazzy, schizo electronic soundscapes bandied about by one of the weirdest programmers in the biz.

After some good old-fashioned reporting, I found that the disc was actually Begone Dull Care, the latest from Junior Boys, who shared a Columbus bill with Tundra earlier this year. Theirs is a fantastic dose of gentle, chill beats without clutter. "Parallel Lines" is the highlight of an album that you need to play on a road trip or when falling asleep.
