The folks at the Wexner Center wrangled a pretty sweet double bill for tonight at the Southern Theatre, 21 E. Main St. Although my preview hints that I prefer Andrew Bird's whistling, violin-wielding chamber music better than St. Vincent's precocious NPR pop, I've seen both acts put on splendid shows before. Should be well worth your $32.50 if you can score a last-minute ticket to this sold-out show. Music begins at 8 p.m. sharp.
There's also a pretty cool show at The Treehouse, 887 Chambers Rd., featuring expansive St. Louis indie rockers Gentleman Auction House sandwiched by Columbus brethren Blastronauts and Trains Across the Sea. 10 p.m., presumably $5 for this one.
