Holly Golightly and the Brokeoffs

Since departing all-female garage rock trio Thee Headcotees to go solo in the mid-90s, Holly Golightly, has been a prolific purveyor of frisky hill country folk tunes built on equal parts twang and bang. She's worked with everybody from Dan Melchoir to Jack White (who memorably sang to her, "I've got your phone number written in the back of my Bible"). But lately she's bunkered down with longtime bandmate Lawyer Dave to form the duo known as Holly Golightly and the Brokeoffs that will play The Summit, 2210 Summit St., tonight at 9. They've got the spark of passion (and the songwriting skills) that so many retro revivalists lack, so this should be a delight. Tickets cost $10 at the door.
