Bringing the blog out of winter break hibernation twice today, first of all to hype tonight's highly anticipated Kurt Vile concert at The Summit, 2210 Summit St. I didn't realize until recently just how prolific Philly's new psychedelic king has been this year: He capped off all the productivity with Matador debut Childish Prodigy, for which I explained my burgeoning love affair in the preview. But that was actually his third full-length to see wide release this year, after Woodsist reissued his 2008 Constant Hitmaker LP and Mexican Summer put out the mini-album God Is Saying This To You. Plus he dropped quite a few 7-inches. Should have more than enough music to pull from after Psychedelic Horseshit and Tommy Jay do their thing. Doors at 8 p.m., tickets $8 advance/$10 at the door.
