The biggest show in town tonight is definitely Owl City, the alter ego of Postal Service-lovin', onesie-wearin' basement electro-pop maestro Adam Young, at LC Pavilion, 405 Neil Ave. Suffice it to say that although "Fireflies" is an undeniably well-crafted song, many of you probably hate it for (a) its excessively gooey, somewhat nonsensical lyrics or (b) its distinct resemblance to the work of Ben Gibbard and Jimmy Tamborello. All hatin' aside, the tune has grown on me a lot since my initial exposure. For more on Owl City, peruse my feature from last week; it's a decent read, methinks. Lights and Deas Vail open the show. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets would be $16 if they weren't sold out.
There are some decent local shows tonight as well, including the Adult Fiction/You're So Bossy/Bookmobile triple bill at Rumba Cafe, 2507 Summit St., and Love Culture's EP release show at Circus, 1227 N. High St. (OK, it's actually possible the lineup at Circus will be insufferable, but I did enjoy Love Culture at Bobo last year.)
