I previewed tonight's Midlake show at the Wexner Center in last week's paper. Didn't mention John Grant will be opening, and couldn't mention last-minute addition Jason Lytle of Grandaddy. 9 p.m. start, $14 tickets.
Two more worthy concerts tonight:
Chicago alt-country DIY guy Joe Pug will play Rumba Cafe, 2507 Summit St., in conjunction with the weekly Cowtown Round songwriter showcase. Jason Quicksall and Jesse Henry round out the bill. 8 p.m. start, $10 cover.
And good-time pop rockers Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers (think John Cougar, Tom Petty and The Broken West) play The Basement, 391 Neil Ave. Youngstown jam band Jones For Revival, who have an absolutely awful name, will open. Doors at 8. Tickets cost $15.
