Pearl Jam plays Nationwide Arena tonight after an opening set from the excellent Band of Horses, who are about to drop third LP "Infinite Arms", so listen up for new stuff. While you wait for the 7:30 p.m. showtime, read my feature on the somewhat foul legacy of Eddie Vedder vocal imitators. Tickets, unfortunately, cost $49-$69.
There's also a pretty cool event called Feed Ohio's Future happening in the Archie M. Griffin Grand Ballroom at the brand new Ohio Union. Heady Brooklyn rapper Theophilus London headlines, with locals P. Blackk & CJ Townsend, Stretch Lefty and Bassel supporting in reverse order. Doors at 8 p.m., music at 9. Tickets are $8.
Also, Skylab, 57 E. Gay St., has a cool experimental sonics showcase, Circus is throwing its much-postponed Tom Waits-a-Thon, and singer-songwriter Trevor Hall will be at the Newport.
