Two items plucked from the Pitchfork wire that caused me to go "OMG":

First, I let out a gasp of glee when I discovered Weezer is planning a Blue Album/"Pinkerton" tour. Yes, they probably won't be incorporating this theme into their Sept. 24 appearance on The Oval, but the thought of seeing the alt-rock heroes playing their finest works unstained by latter day sonic pollution had me smiling.

That is, until I read the following story. A man committed suicide at a Swell Season concert near San Francisco by jumping three stories and landing on stage next to Glen Hansard. I can't even imagine what it must have been like to witness that. Makes a nostalgic Weezer tour seem pretty irrelevant. R.I.P., sad sir.
