Both FX and CW will premiere fall shows this week to get a jump on the network series that begin the following couple of weeks. Tonight, "Hellcats" opens at 9 p.m. on CW and the magnificent "Terriers" at 10 p.m. on FX. The two couldn't be more different--like cats and dogs--and I doubt very many people will be fans of both.
I absolutely love "Terriers" starring Donal Logue and Michael Raymond-James as down-and-out private detectives in Southern California. Tonight's pilot is pretty good and It only gets better with each episode. Check out my full review here.
I haven't watched "Hellcats," but most of the early reviews are mixed. It looks like a mash-up of "Glee" and "Bring It On," but not as good as either. Check out the Boston Globe's review here.
