I've always been surprised at the lack of feminist outlets in Columbus. Although, that's probably because I moved here from college at Kent State where some sort of political statement (bumper sticker, chalking, toddler holding a protest sign on the street corner) is everywhere. This weekend is different. It appears the feminist fates have aligned three days worth of lady liberation in Columbus.

Maya Angelou is being honored at the Legends & Legacy event at the King Arts Complex tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. Gloria Steinem speaks tomorrow at 4 p.m. at Ohio Weslyan University. And, to round out your weekend dose of equality nicely (or brutally, in this case), the Ohio Roller Girls host the Philadelphia Roller Dolls at the Central Ohio Roller Hockey rink in Grandview on Saturday at 5 p.m.
