A new museum in Croatia's capital, called the Museum of Broken Relationships, has garnered a lot of attention, presumably because anyone who has been romanticized has something to show for the emotional bumps and bruises that can come -- a bad poem, a borrowed T-shirt two sizes too big, an ex's toothbrush. The gallery lets visitors drop off those, shall we say, mementos and visitors can peruse the ruins of others' broken hearts.

Given the museum's location, there's some pretty moving stuff, like the love note written by a boy to a girl he met while being evacuated from Sarajevo in 1992. But there are examples that show humorous scenarios such as an axe one woman used to obliterate her ex-girlfriend's stuff and a candy G-string with a note that says "He turned out to be as cheap and shabby as his presents."
