When George W. Bush sat down with Matt Lauer to do an interview about his upcoming book "Decision Points," one of the topics was Kanye West's infamous "George Bush doesn't care about black people" comment.
Bush told Lauer it was the worst moment of his presidency and he couldn't rewrite those words in his book without "feeling disgust." Lauer then asked Bush if people might "give him heat" for saying Kanye's insult was worse than "watching the misery in Louisiana." Bush's initial response was to interrupt and say he "don't care." He then backtracked a little and said that was bad, too.
EW has a segment of the interview and the full interview will air on the "Matt Lauer Reports" special on Nov. 8 at 8 p.m.
