So you're not a football fan and you think there's nothing to watch on Thanksgiving...if you don't fall asleep. Well, if watching the traditional Thanksgiving teams, Detroit's Hello Kitties or Dallas' Cowgirls (with a combined record of 5-15), doesn't interest you there's a fun event involving pumpkins airing on Thanksgiving night. The annual Punkin' Chunkin' contest gets a bunch of crazy engineer types getting together to see who's massive machine can launch a pumpkin the farthest. Using trebuchets (catapults), centrifugal, and air cannons, the pumpkins can travel up to 5,000 feet. That's nearly a mile!

Punkin' Chunkin' is hosted by "Mythbuster's" Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman and airs at 8 p.m. on both Discovery and Science channels. Below there's a preview of this year's Punkin' Chunkin' with an air cannon vs. a van and just for fun there's also a video of air cannon vs. a boat. Enjoy
