Almost missed this tidbit in my inbox: To spice up their winter tour, The Gay Blades wrote a song for every city on the docket, including Columbus. In honor of their show tonight at The Basement, 391 Neil Ave., the New York duo cooked up something called "Run For Your Life, Buckeye!" The band's James Dean Wells explains:
I wrote this song for townies everywhere. There's nothing worse than ignorant drunk college kids ruining your town and hitting on your girlfriend - I should know, I was one of those kids. That being said, this song is about handing out ass beatings to those in need. Its all about charity!
Stream the song above, or download it below. The show also features Mind Fish and Dolfish (a.k.a. Our Cat Philip's Max Sollisch) and costs $10. Doors open at 7 p.m.
