With all this hype about the Beatles being on iTunes, the 1960s-old question has resurfaced. Who is better: The Rolling Stones or The Beatles?

When my boyfriend and I started dating I picked Beatles, he picked Stones. It was our second date and I was super nervous, so I picked quickly. That's why rock critics Greg Kot and Jim DeRogatis's assessments of the two bands kind of cuts. (The two were interviewed by WTTW in Chicago about their new book "The Beatles vs. The Rolling Stones: Sound Opinions on the Great Rock and Roll Rivalry.")

"The Stones are like the hottest one-night stand you could ever have... The Beatles are a really pleasant dinner chaperoned by her parents."

Point taken.
