Everyone's favorite precocious teen detective, Veronica Mars a.k.a. Kristen Bell, is coming back to television. She'll be starring in the new Showtime series "House of Lies" alongside Don Cheadle.

The series is based off Martin Kihn's tell-all book "House of Lies: How Management Consultants Steal Your Watch and Tell You the Time" and Matthew Carnahan ("Dirt") will act as showrunner and executive producer.

The premise for the half-hour, dark comedy is Cheadle plays Marty, "a highly successful, cutthroat consultant who is never above using any means (or anyone) necessary to get his clients the information they want." Bell plays Jeannie Van Der Hooven, a whip-smart Ivy League grad who works for Cheadle's Marty.

With these two attached and Showtime's mostly solid history with dark comedies, I'm already anticipating its premiere. Basically, you had me at Kristen Bell.
