Psychedelic Horseshit became the latest Columbus musicians to sign to a respected indie label when they recently inked a deal with FatCat, a UK label affiliated with acts like Sigur Ros, Animal Collective and No Age.

Per a conversation with main man Matt Whitehurst back in December, Horseshit's next LP will be out in May. Whitehurst also said the label has been exerting more quality control than he's used to, which Whitehurst viewed as a positive thing. He seemed to enjoy working with an editor. Curious to see what kind of sounds emerge; hopefully they're similar to what the group's been doing live.

According to FatCat, "The band are holding their own press conference to mark the announcement." Whitehurst never minces words, so that should be lots of fun. In the meantime, you can get a free preview MP3 by signing up for their mailing list and get last year's "Acid Tapes" for free.
