It's that wonderful day of the year when we all stop to reflect on ... advertising.

While all the Biebers and beavers and Vaders were great and all, I'm here to focus on one kind of advertising: the movie trailers. Here's my take on the big ones.

Super 8

Paramount: 'Super 8'

A secretive Steven Spielberg/JJ Abrams project? Not much to go on here, but I am so there.

Rango

Paramount: 'Rango'

I'm not sure if Johnny Depp's lizard character is supposed be a visual nod to Hunter S. Thompson or not, but I think this looks awesome either way. Can't wait!

Pirates of the Caribbean 4 Disney: 'Pirates of the Caribbean 4'

Enjoyable series in a popcorn kinda way, but it's dragged on too long. How much Cap'n Jack can we stand?

Captain America Marvel: 'Captain America'

Marvel has a lot riding on all these "Avengers" movies. Not much to go on here, but the WWII setting is the right move.

Thor

Paramount: 'Thor'

I think this looks cooler than "Captain America," but I may just be biased because I love Natalie Portman.

Battle: Los Angeles Sony: Battle Los Angeles

Look at all the pretty effects! Then note that no good movies come out in March and that this one is from the director of one of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre reboots. Pass!

Transformers: Dark of the Moon Paramount: Transformers 3

Transformers movies all look so neat. Then you have to sit through them. The last one could have been an hour shorter. Also, the title sounds like it should be the name of a Dio album.

Cowboys vs. Aliens Universal: 'Cowboys vs. Aliens'

My 10-year-old self would have exploded at the prospect of this. Please don't suck!

Fast Five Universal: 'Fast Five'

This looks like about as clever of a sequel as its title would indicate.
