The Black Swans recorded "Don't Blame the Stars" nearly three years ago in a Clintonville garage, but violinist Noel Sayre's death put the process on pause. Jerry DeCicca first mentioned the album in Alive nearly two years ago. And the folk-rock eccentrics put out a different album nearly one year ago.

Now the set of "agnostic power ballads" is finally coming out on the relaunched Misra Records. May 10 is the street date. A Kickstarter campaign is underway to fund a limited edition vinyl edition of the album. The band is offering some enticing privileges for those who pledge big bucks (private house shows, recordings on demand). They're not quite halfway to their $3,000 goal with 27 days left.

The hilarious and thoughtful "Don't Blame the Stars" cover art is above. The intriguing tracklist is below. All their previous albums are available for the listenin' at Bandcamp.
