Even non-theater geeks have probably heard about the disastrous results of trying to turn Spider-Man into a Broadway musical. It will go down in history as the Great White Way's costliest flops. Even Bono, who kind of sucks, implies it sucks. Just goes to show that the stage's most exciting drama is often what's happening after the curtain closes (who would have thought the "South Park" dudes dressed like J-Lo and Gwyneth Paltrow at the Academy Awards in 2000 would dominate the Tonys 11 years later for a song and dance display about Mormons). You know it's bad for Spider-Man when even "Sesame Street" gets in on mocking the mayhem:
