There are many ways to support the servicemen and women of America. You can knit, bake, quilt or make care packages for the troops. Perhaps it was only a matter of time before burlesque performers found a way to put their special talents to use for the troops.

The Ooh-La-Las have gathered a plethora of burlesque and other entertainment acts for a second Stars & Strips! event. Proceeds from the evening support Operation Homefront, a charity that provides support to military families, during and after deployment.

The feathers start flying at 8 p.m. Saturday at the A&R Music Bar, 391 Neil Ave., in the Arena District.

Besides the Columbus mainstay Ooh-La-Las, performers include: Clams Casino, Viva! and The Velvet Hearts, Sex Kittens Purrlesque, Magic Nate, Janaan Al Jahanni, Musette, Sideshow Burl-y Queen, The Red Hot Heathens, Timeless Entertainment, Jeff Leonard, Rubi-nesque, Miz Ginger Jones, Shannon Parkevich, Peach Roulette the Hula-Hooping Ecdysiast (that's fancy talk for stripper), Dexter Wilde and Illicit Kitty.

Meow, indeed.
