The trailer for Peter Jackson's next masterpiece, "The Hobbit," came out yesterday. After seeing it, those of us who grew up with the story will have a hard time waiting until next December to head back to the Shire. "The Hobbit" will without a doubt be a great film, but doesn't the trailer seem a bit too somber and "Lord of the Rings"-ish? "The Hobbit" was so much more of a children's book -- lighthearted and silly at times. I personally hope the film doesn't entirely abandon that.
