Columbus band joins the likes of Wilco, Moby and more.

Columbus flagship popsters The Floorwalkers brought their friendly blend of folk, soul and rock 'n' roll to Daytrotter, the Rock Island, Illinois-based online cottage industry that trades in special one-off studio sessions. Big names such as Wilco and Moby have contributed remote sessions of late, and Columbus dame Lydia Loveless, local slow folkies The Black Swans and fellow Ohioans The Ridges stopped through Daytrotter's home studio, The Horseshack, in recent months.

As for the Floorwalkers, they (minus bassist Ben Meinhold, for some reason) spun through four tracks including "Some Love," "For the Better," "Love the Sun Away" and "Up the Vine." Daytrotter founder Sean Moeller graced them with a 50 Cent-defying essay about how Jon Elliot's lyrics make him think one night stands can indeed be about making love, not just having sex.
