Also: 2:54, Insane Clown Posse, Third Eye Blind

A few concerts of note that recently appeared on the Columbus docket:

•Santigold is headlining the Newport on June 13. Tickets cost $22 in advance and $25 at the door. No word yet on who'll be opening for Ms. Santi White, whose new album "Master of My Make-Believe" will be out May 1 through Downtown Records. It features "Disparate Youth," the video for which is streaming above. (RSVP)

•Former Columbus dude/current Yeasayer member Ahmed Gallab is bringing his band Sinkane back to Columbus for a May 26 appearance at Carabar. You may recall that Sinkane is responsible for one of the year's best singles so far, "Runnin'," to which we hipped you last month in Jams of the Week. Also performing at that free concert: The Compressions and Tin Armor.

I don't think I ever mentioned New Edition's impending romp through Nationwide Arena, but you better believe they'll be here May 25 for a whopping $52-$76.

•Fat Possum-signees 2:54 will play The Basemernt on June 16. The London-based shoegaze sisters will be joined by Widowspeak; tickets cost $10 advance/$12 at the door.

•Their fellow Fat Possum affiliates Bass Drum of Death will show up four days later for a June 20 display of stomping Southern garage rock. Your $10 also gets you DZ Deathrays.

•The ever-durable Insane Clown Posse comes to Newport Music Hall on April 28. Save your pennies, Juggalos; this one costs $32 in advance, $35 at the door.

•Lastly, step back from that ledge, Third Eye Blind fans. Stephen Jenkins and co. will be here less than two weeks from now, adding to the deluge of 90s alt bands parading through Columbus. Tickets cost $27 in advance or $30 at the door, so on second thought, go ahead and jump.
