The guys behind SoHud Music Collective have been talking about going to a cabin to record an album together for quite some time. They finally did it. Joey Hebdo, Jesse Michael Barr, Mike James and The Floorwalkers' Jonathan Elliott combined under the name The Middle Rats and retreated to Hocking Hills with producer Jay Alton. From the sounds of their Monkees-like theme song, they had a lot of fun, and now we can too. Although they already had their album release party last weekend, they'll play again this Saturday at Kafe Kerouac, 2250 N. High St., from 8 p.m. to 9:30. It's the local supergroup's last show until a June 9 appearance in Zanesville. So seriously consider hitting up this gig and the Joshua P. James show at Kobo this Saturday.
