Van Halen to rock the Schott August 2

Van Halen, back in action with the one and only David Lee Roth, will rock the Schottenstein Center on August 2. A ticket presale runs from 10 a.m. Friday to 10 p.m. Sunday with the password "TRUTH." Those without the password can buy tickets starting 10 a.m. Monday, April 30. Prices range from $36.85 up to $140.65.

A true family band, the classic rockers now comprise brothers Eddie (guitar, duh) and Alex Van Halen (drums, duh) plus Eddie's son Wolfgang on bass. And while we'd all love to see Michael Anthony stepping in to reclaim his rightful place, this lineup ought to make most rock fans pretty damn giddy. It certainly made Chuck Klosterman giddy. Let the eruption of excitement ensue.

Opening the show: Ky-Mani Marley.
