Celebrate Earth Day by swapping your gently used clothes and accessories for new gently used clothes and accessories.

I highly recommend heading to the Columbus Commons from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 21, for the Earth Day Columbus Celebration. The event is full of attractions, not the least of which is a yummy roundup of organic, locally sourced food to nosh. One other thing worth putting on your eco-conscious radar can be found a quick walk away on Town Street beside the Commons at the OSU Urban Arts Space (50 W. Town St., to be exact). The gallery is holding an event called "Swap at the Space." Pack along clothing and accessories you want to get rid of but that don't deserve to be thrown out yet. Take them to the Space between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. You'll get a ticket for each item you drop off. Bring the tickets back to the space from 1 to 3 p.m. and exchange them for something new. Any leftovers will be donated to Volunteers of America.

Can't make it? Try one of these.
