So, first of all, Tom Hardy's Bane looks to be a substantially badass villain. I have only a slight concern that Anne Hathaway's Catwoman may be too many central characters in this stew, but Nolan has pulled it off before, right?

So while this trailer certainly shows why this flick topped my list of most anticipated movies of this summer, I'm going to throw something else out there. It's too early, clearly, but will we be having a discussion of whether this will mark the best film trilogy EVER?

The third installment is often the stumbling block. Most fans agree "Return of the Jedi" and "Spider-Man 3" to be the weak links in their respective franchises. Everyone agrees this about "The Godfather: Part III" ... ugh. So what else do you got? Maybe "The Lord of the Rings" ... I think this looks better.

We'll find out on July 20.
