Dirty Frank's to open a location in Westgate

The beloved wielder o' wieners, Dirty Frank's Hot Dog Palace, will be adding a location in Westgate (read about the neighborhood here) at 2836 W. Broad St. next spring, said Columbus Food League owner Elizabeth Lessner. A restaurant in Franklinton, called The Franklinton Tap Room, is "still in negotiations," Lessner said. "We hope to be able to make an announcement in the coming weeks. It would also be opening around spring 2013 depending on how construction goes." In the meantime, those hungry for new spots from the League will be able to belly up at Grass Skirt Tiki Room soon. The bar recently began hiring and should be open by the end of August, Lessner said.

Correction: A previous version of this story reported that the Columbus Food League would be opening a Dirty Frank's in Franklinton. That was incorrect. The Franklinton restaurant will be called The Franklinton Tap Room.
