Esther Hall crafts as Tori Spelling hosts.
Turn on TLC tonight at 10 p.m. to see local crafter and artist Esther Hall, the woman behind Torn Angel who also is an instructor at Columbus College of Art and Design, compete on the channel's Tori Spelling-hosted show "Craft Wars." The three competitors on tonight's episode must create a wedding altar display (the episode is called "Alters & Falters" because silly puns always get crafters in stiches... eee!). The chosen winner at the end of the show wins $10,000. In this preview clip, Hall said she would use the money to build her dream yarn shop. Yes, please. A theater at the Gateway Film Center (1550 N. High St.) will air the episode tonight--get there around 9:30 p.m.--and Hall will be on hand to recieve high fives and, I'm hoping, questions about what Tori Spelling is like in person. The viewing is open to the public and admission is whatever you want to donate; part of the proceeds will benefit the Mid Ohio Food Bank. Good luck, Esther. Remember us when you're famous.
