If your own couch will not suffice for viewing tonight’s opening ceremonies of the London 2012 Olympics—don’t let it; it’s so much fun to watch these things with drunk strangers around you unleashing their insight—head to The Pub Polaris. The restaurant bar, which is located in the outdoor part of the shopping complex by Barnes & Noble, will play the illustrious show-boat debut extravaganza tonight as well as medal events of track, gymnastics, swimming and other sport competitions through Aug. 12. The full lineup of times and events the pub will show on its TVs are here. The bar’s booze specials for the Olympics include Team USA Beer Buckets (five Buds or Bud Lights for $5) and an Olympic Beer Sampler (five draughts from your favorite countries for $6.95). ‘Twas there ever a better bar chant than “USA! USA! USA!”?
