DNC chief reaches out to Columbus Dems about 2016
That's the question Democratic National Committee chief executive Amy Dacey asked the party faithful in an email today, as Democrats try to decide where to hold their 2016 presidential convention.
"Columbus is one of our finalists, and as part of our selection process, we want to hear from supporters like you -- the people who know your city best," said Dacey, noted lover of Jeni's ice cream. If you'd like to weigh in on why Columbus should host the DNC in 2016, click here.
Dacey and Democratic site selectors were in Columbus for two days last week. The party will chose among Columbus and four other cities.
"My team and I are visiting the cities that have made the final cut to meet with officials and great local Democrats, and to get a feel for each city's energy," Dacey said in the email. "But we're counting on people like you to make sure we don't miss out on any of the things that make Columbus great."
