The National Reading Recovery and K-6 Classroom Literacy Conference is sponsoring a one-hour session for parents and caregivers on Saturday, Feb. 2 from 2-3 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Hotel (350 N. High St. in the Delaware D Meeting Room).

The program will focus on how to choose the right books for children, ages 2-8; how to help children read independently; literacy activities; and how to make reading more fun! A variety of experts will serve on the panel, plus you'll be receive a free bibliography of children's book titles and be eligible to win a door prize.

Directly following the program will be another free event: the African American Read-In, plus you can visit the hotel's Conference Exhibit Hall where more than 55 vendors will be offering the latest titles in children's literature and learning tools.
